On the afternoon of Friday November 3rd volunteers from the Dayton Community Connection Rocked - and rebuilt a stonewall. Earlier in the year the wall collapsed when someone stood on it and the home owner was looking for someone to help rebuild it.
Small projects such as this end up being a low priority for companies - with no guarantee when they'll be done. When DCC heard about the homeowners problem they reached out to volunteers to see if anyone was interested in helping out, and the response was a resounding "yes lets Rock!"
At 1:00pm on Friday November 3rd the volunteers arrived with gloves, shovels, pails, and a wheelbarrow and dug in. The unstable rocks were removed, sorted by size, and the wall rebuilt - stone by stone. The project was completed in less then 2 hours! Here are a few pictures from the afternoon
If you have a project - or know of someone in the Town of Dayton that needs some helping hands - let us know!
