Capturing Dayton Township History

Do you know about the stage coach trail that used to run through the Town of Dayton?  Do you know the history of the “Candy Cottages” on Long Lake?  (They have historical significance, vacationers can recall their families renting the cottages when they were kids).

If YOU have any history to share or a cottage/home or property with historical background or significance, large or small, we’d love to hear from you.   Dayton Community Connection, Waupaca Chain O'Lakes Association and the Waupaca Historical Society are working to preserve our cultural and historical heritage.   We need your help!

Sharing historical information ensures that the knowledge about our Dayton community and Chain O’Lakes is not lost over time. Historical information can be fragile and easily lost if not documented and shared.   Please feel free to reach out to Julie at the Dayton Community Connection webpage: Daytoncommunityconnection@gmail.com. Leave your name and contact information and we'll be sure to get back to you.

Any and all nformation is welcome. The Waupaca Historical Society is happy to carefully take images or photos of any information or documents, and return them safely to you.
